Your Experience Is Valid

We all walk through the world with a different experience. Even kids raised in the same family of origin similar in age can have a vastly different experience. We see the world through our own unique lens based on our beliefs, experiences, and our own “felt sense.”

So why does healing the deeper shit matter? Why do we even look at the past when we are currently in the present? Shouldn’t we just get over it and move on?

Our lived experiences change how we perceive the world. When we grow up in chaos, uncertainty, or not having our experience validated, we can show up as adults that seek external validation, doubt ourselves, and are constantly searching for our worth in achievement. We can learn to turn off that wise inner voice that is meant to guide us along the way. We often walk around feeling detached from our body and it’s wisdom.

Your experience is valid. We don’t need to live in the past, but we do need to understand how this colors our current experience as an adult. How these beliefs that we have so deeply internalized may be holding us back from our wellness goals. How we can show up in protection instead of allowing ourselves to live with an open heart and embodied wellness.

We can seek to have corrective experiences along this healing journey and show up fully for ourselves. With this repair comes the ultimate healing.
